About The Owner
Judson Root is a father of three, Tucker 13, Lassiter 10, & Liddy 8, and has been married to his wife Anna since 2005. He is a licensed North Carolina Home Inspector with fifteen years combined construction experience, and he began his time in construction running his own company as a General Contractor specialized in residential renovations and additions in 2009, until starting Garnet and Grey Inspection Services in June of 2016: NC Inspector #3724.
Judson was appointed by the Raleigh City Council to serve on the Board of Adjustments in 2015, which helps the City of Raleigh interpret zoning and development issues and served for five years. Before his term expired, Judson was the Chairman for the City of Raleigh Board of Adjustments.
When he's not working, Judson enjoys spending time with his family, being active in his church and outside. Judson is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College. Although Judson was born and raised in Alabama, his wife Anna was born and raised in Raleigh North Carolina, where they have chosen to raise their family.

Ryan embarked on his journey by serving as a Marine Corps officer, where he had the opportunity to lead civil capacity projects and community engagement. Transitioning into the business realm, he pursued an MBA in supply chain management at Michigan State University. Over the course of a decade-long career in the semiconductor and life science industries, Ryan honed his skills in procuring facility and capital equipment, as well as project management. Driven by a passion for real estate, Ryan delved into renovating and investing. Along this path, he acquired licenses as a home inspector, general contractor, and broker, enriching his passion for real estate. Ryan joined the Garnet and Grey team in March 2024. Apart from his professional pursuits, Ryan is a devoted husband to his wife Sarah and father their three young children. Ryan is also a member of F3 in Chapel Hill, NC.
